On 28 August, the Year 9 and year 10 students attended a 2-hour workshop on the study of Forensic Science. The workshop, A Case of Conspiracy involved the investigation of a young man accused of a drug related crime and all the evidence points to his guilt, but is he really the murderer? The students investigated 10 facets of forensic information including the virtual examination of the crime scene and analysing the evidence including arson, autopsy, DNA, and ballistics. The students were not only required to work out who committed the crime but also needed to show what evidence indicated their guilt. The students were engaged and fascinated by the forensic techniques used to investigate crimes.
